Summary

At St Patrick’s Mental Health Services (SPMHS), our vision is to see a society where all citizens are empowered and given the opportunity to live mentally healthy lives. We work to provide the highest quality mental healthcare, to promote mental wellbeing and mental health awareness, and to advocate for the rights of those experiencing mental health difficulties.

We provide community and outpatient care through our Dean Clinics and day patient services through our Wellness and Recovery Centre. We offer a multidisciplinary inpatient service through our three approved centres: St Patrick’s University Hospital; St Patrick's, Lucan; and Willow Grove Adolescent Unit. We also provide a Homecare Service and remote access to our services through phone, video or online channels.

Jonathan Swift, Dean of St Patrick’s Cathedral and noted author of Gulliver's Travels and more, founded St Patrick’s Hospital - now SPMHS - over 270 years ago: we remain driven by the same vision, energy and determination first demonstrated by Dean Swift in 1746.
