New Role: Corporate Reputation Management: Manufacturing and Commercial operations in Ireland. At a product level - support the public affairs needs of commercial operation

Responsibilities for this role will include the following:

Corporate Reputation Management

  • Creates positive image to the general public, customers and other stakeholders through the development and delivery of external communication strategies which support key reputation management initiatives for the commercial and manufacturing operations in order to support growth of this multi-national in Ireland
  • Is proactive in identifying opportunities for creating positive reputation management programmes, working closely with affiliate senior management in Commercial and Operations. Modernise and focus on external communication especially with respect to corporate identity/branding
  • Enhances visibility of company and protects company reputation.
  • Supports development of speeches and presentations for general manager/division director for external audiences
  • Maintains effective contact with Corporate Public Affairs to ensure that communications with Company Headquarters Public Affairs are aligned with strategy, are quickly and clearly disseminated to the appropriate audience in affiliate and are consistent with the corporate view
  • Develop action plans for affiliate to communicate corporate social responsibility projects externally
  • Acts as central source for local and national issues
  • Manages and oversees the activities of the PR agency
PR for Key Products

  • Identifies opportunities, develops strategies and manages the implementation of PR programmes for key products of commercial operations
  • Advises marketing teams on the most effective strategy for the implementation of communication and PR programmes for new and existing products in order to maximize positive media coverage and stakeholder awareness.
  • Increases awareness of diseases and the benefit innovative pharmaceuticals bring to stakeholders through effective PR
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of corporate business and therapeutic areas, industry and competitive landscape to provide effective counsel for all levels of management
  • Provide strategic counsel to other commercial divisions for flagship initiatives upon request
  • Manages budgets on PR programming within company financial policies and the manufacturing operations
  • Manages and oversees the activities of PR agency(ies)

Requirements will include:

1. Strong media experience with relationship in the lay and medical media an advantage
2. Experience of working on projects, to deadline and on multiple tasks.
3. Experience of developing and managing PR programme with multiple stakeholders
4. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communications skills and be an effective negotiator and networker
5. A minimum of 5-8 years experience in public affairs/public relations, preferably in healthcare or science industry.
6. A mix of public awareness, media and professional relations as well as corporate and public affairs experience is desirable.
7. Percentage of Travel 15% Local / 5% International
