THE ROLE:
*Supervision of personnel
*Co-ordination of laboratory resources
*Training and development of laboratory personnel
* Delivery of area performance to meet or exceed functional unit goals
* Development and coordination of continuous improvement initiatives
* Contribute to site operational and strategic initiatives
* Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental and cGMP and other applicable regulations
*Ensure a right first time approach to all laboratory activities
*Liaising with external vendors
*Participation in corporate & regulatory audits
REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven Leadership skills
* Good verbal and written communication skills
*A proven ability to plan and organise effective and efficient work schedules
*The ability to set and maintain high standards of laboratory housekeeping
* A demonstrated problem solving ability
* Ability to respond to changing priorities
*Degree in a Scientific/Engineering discipline and a number of years relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
*A good knowledge of cGMPs, SP quality systems and WWQ Standards
*Previous supervisory experience in a Sterile Manufacturing facility is desirable.
