As Process Technician you will support manufacturing through troubleshooting and the implementation of process improvements. Working as part of a team the key responsibility is to monitor, support and maintain line yield within or above yield budget requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • To analyse process, product, material or equipment specifications and performance requirements.
  • Yield monitoring – three hourly line walks and yield and defect recording.
  • To complete daily checks on all laser welders.
  • To compile and analyse operational, test and experimental data to establish performance standards for newly implemented or modified products and/or processes.
  • To summarise, analyse and draw conclusions from test results leading to effective technical resolution.
  • Data presentation and reporting - Analysis and presentation of yield/defect data daily weekly and quarterly.
  • Process support – trouble shooting of product defects, process issues, identifying equipment functions and faults, equipment adjustment and technical/process resource set up.
  • On shift machine maintenance and repair in case of multiple breakdowns
  • Also support and execute product, process and equipment analysis and improvement projects as requested.
  • To Log and report downtime and any quality issues.
  • To resolve yield issues and identify high loss rejects
  • To troubleshoot new products/process working closely with product development group.
  • Work as member of a core team to help resolve open issues drive process improvements in design, layout and operational performance.
  • To attend weekly production meetings to report/highlight downtime & yield issues.
  • To conduct cleaning duties on production equipment to help reduce & prevent rejects
  • Machine design, machine installation, machine maintenance and preventative maintenance when required.
  • Calibration of equipment.
  • To become involved in Project work and carry out and assist on yellow belt projects
  • To carry out scheduled PM's and document same.
  • To provide process support to high volume production lines
  • To demonstrate good working knowledge and application of validation techniques and associated regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in SOP and use IQ/OQ/PQ process validation
  • To actively promote and participates in a cross-functional teamwork environment.
  • To evaluate in conjunction with EHS new equipment/processes/chemicals for environmental impact/effect to eliminate or lessen such impacts/effects.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Third level qualification in Science or Engineering and at least three years regulated industry experience ideally in the medical device industry.
  • Experience working on high production lines would be an advantage.
  • Is an influential team member, fully motivated to achieve and demonstrate best practices in line with the department and site objectives.
