PharmEng Engineering requires a Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer on a long term hourly rate contract basis for one of our client sites based in Switzerland. The initial contract will be for 18 months. It is essential that you have technical French

Key Responsibilities
· Will be direct contact to the construction team, the maintenance team and suppliers. You will also be in close cooperation with the Engineering System Owner to ensure the achievement of overall project goals and milestones. Specifically the role will encompass:
· Work with Electrical Discipline and monitor progress in the field to ensure that power is available on time to all devices.
· Technical checking of Electrical and Instrumentation technical documentation when received on site.
· Complete check of design documentation (from suppliers and engineering partners) to ensure that it is complete and available for Commissioning and Qualification
· Track the ordering and expediting of instruments to avoid project delays due to late deliveries.
· Supervision of testing of electrical and instrumentation components on site (e.g. loop checking, calibration)
· Ensuring that temporary power is available to subsystems on time to facilitate early commissioning of some subsystems.
· Work with automation team discipline to ensure that automation hardware (cabinets, network etc) are available to start loop checking and software testing on time.
Experience / Education
· Degree in engineering and with a good knowledge of means and process technologies used in biotechnical production
· 5-10 years experience in design, construction and commissioning of biotech, pharmaceutical or chemical plants or installations, minimum 5 of these under GMP conditions.5+ years experience in biotech industry
· Knowledge and experience of using industry Best Practice procedures for design, construction and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems in the Pharma / Biotech industry.
