OPERATIONS AND TECHNICAL MANAGER



The Operations and Technical Manager will report to the Managing Director and will be responsible for the management of all departments within the company.

The ideal candidate will have a science qualification,at least 10 years experience and will have progressed their career to a senior management role .

Essential Functions:

  • Management of Testing,Purchasing,Customer Service,QA,Health and Safety and Finance Functions
  • Sign off and approval of all test certificates
  • Planning and review of work schedules and result due dates in conjunction with customer service team
  • Supervision and co-ordination of laboratory technicians in completion of test schedules
  • Achievement of on-time delivery and quality targets
  • Develop and improve laboratory capability
  • Implement improvement plans within the lab in line with company objectives
  • Equipment preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Business Process re-design and continuous improvement


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and experience

  • Minimum 10 years experience. Including Senior Management and Supervision.
  • Familiarity with environmental testing especially water analysis is essential
  • Experience working in a contract lab would be advantageous
  • Must previously have worked in an INAB accredited or highly regulated environment
  • The ideal candidate will be career orientated ,goal driven and a self starter with a continuous improvement focus
  • A proven track record in process improvement is essential


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree level science qualification
  • Supervisor training Diploma or equivalent
  • Masters Qualification would be advantageous


    • Salary €60 + Bonus + Pension + Healthcare
