Our client is recruiting for a Technician Team Leader.

The key task/ duties will include:

Ensure Health and Safety adherence to legislation and best practice for your team and the manufacturing process.
Support manufacturing in realising customer and process quality and delivery performance.
Meet OEE and utilisation targets across equipment sets both SMT and Back-end Cells.Meet 100% maintenance adherence across all equipment.
Meet process scrap targets.
Ensure adequate spares (against recommended levels) are available to meet OEE targets and delivery performance.
Develop an effective manufacturing focused technician support group.
Ensure facility is maintained at a high standard to support manufacturing and all other business functions.

Your responsabilities will include:
Ensure that you and your team are adhering to both company and industry prescribed health and safety legislation and best practice. Ensure equipment introduced onto the factory floor meets with all the regulatory requirements such as CE marking. Correct use of equipment to be audited and enforced.
Key performance indicators which will be owned include:Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) for SMT to meet Operations target, Equipment Utilisation targets for Back-end Cells, Preventative Maintenance to target,Average Training days per Technician/Engineer and Absence levels for Technician Group.
Ensure Operation adheres to company 5S standard look
Generate annual budgets in the areas of Spares, Equipment Maintenance and support, Team training and other areas relevant to your responsibilities. Through monthly reviews ensure spend is within budget.
Static Control: Audit/Testing of static controls for staff and operators, mats, floor, trays and benches as per stated frequency in applicable ISO standard and PM log.
Support the Process Engineering group in the introduction of process modifications through ECO, PCR, Waiver or NPI
Organize tech team to cover all shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends)
Ensure a motivated and effective Technician Support Group through:Organisation shape, Effective recruitment, Frequent communications - daily 5 minute meeting and monthly at meeting, Effective and formal training process including annual training plan for each team member. Of particular importance here is the level of cross training across the shifts, Enforcement of HR policies and procedures, Effective performance management system, Effective SMART Objectives on a Yearly basis, Ensure the principles of 5S are understood and driven through the activities of each person within the team, Driving an open, inclusive and rewording environment and culture.
Complete Management of the facility to ensure that a safe and healthy working environment is provided for all staff. This will include the following areas; Air Conditioning, General Maintenance and upgrading of facility buildings, Providing suitable space requirements for all departments within VVS
Reviewing and renewing all Maintenance contracts, Control of external contractors (electricians/Plumber/cleaners etc), Maintenance of all services (vacuum/air/electrical etc), Planning and execution of shutdown overhauls, Equipment re-layouts,Waste management, Monthly Management facility meetings.

Requirements for the position are:
Degree/Diploma in Electronic/Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering
Experience in leading a technical team in the area of supporting Electronic Manufacturing would be an advantage.
Prior technician/ engineering experience in process/test or debug an advantage
Experience in Surface Mount Mfg environment in conjunction with a working knowledge of
Cellular Manufacturing Design, Takt Time Analysis, TPM & OEE Measurement
Strong communication skills
Highly organised team player with initiative, driven by achieving results both on a personal and team basis
Commitment to achievement of company goals and objectives
Fluent spoken and written English
