Senior Planner (Temporary 9-12 months)
Specific Responsibilities;
- Full ERP Performance responsibility
- Creates and maintains a valid and achievable MPS/S&OP
- Co-ordinate the receipt of forecast data from all demand organisations, comparing the inputs to previous submissions, noting changes and consolidating the data in a form suitable for transfer to the master schedule
- Review materials and capacity requirements for S&OP supply process and highlight potential issues against the plan and interacting with operations to develop solutions.
- Maintain ongoing accurate status reports for S&OP/MPS and demonstrate the action plan to resolve issues
- Will be accountable for co-ordinating the monthly forecasts through S&OP process.
- Will be accountable for maintaining historical data relating to sales and the recording of forecast accuracy.
- Maintain the site calendar in ERP.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the mix (popularity) factor within the planning bills.
- Will be accountable for the maintenance of an agreed set of performance metrics relating to the MPS/S&OP process.
- Will have the responsibilities to assist customer service in managing available-to-promise.
- Maintains contact with operations to ensure that long-term schedule is achievable on an ongoing basis.
- Works closely with operations to ensure Production Plans align with MPS and to allow the covering of absence.
- Execute what-if scenarios with potential schedule changes and impacts.
- Utilise and improve systems and tools to maintain and enhance S&OP/MPS process.
- Maintenance of the capacity planning and S&OP modules.
- Involvement in inventory reduction activities.
- Extending S&OP forecasts to a financial forecast (integrate LIBRA clump codes into the process to facilitate international reporting).
- Provide support for other members of the team in fulfilling the agreed company objectives and strategy.
- Contribute to departmental CI goals by taking part in Lean/CI certification programs.
- Identify area's of improvement in current processes and method's.
- Management of the NPI/Product transfer process to ensure smooth build transition and minimum € exposure to the plant during phase over. Work with New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineering and Marketing to ensure new products will have minimum disruption to the site.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Experience and Requirements:
- 10 years experience minimum required in a Planning / Purchasing role within the Electronics Industry is essential
- Applicable Third level qualification required, OR full qualification to APICS/CPIM/SCM or IIPMM. Candidates currently pursuing a qualification will be considered.
- Proficiency required in Excel, MRP, Word, PowerPoint, E-Mail. Mfg Pro and Web plan experience would be a distinct advantage.
