Security Engineer - (Unix, C/C++, Java)
Salary: 70-80k + bens
Consult on security solutions including vulnerability testing, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, risk mitigation & control, and incident response
Assess information security risks associated with both new and existing network, systems and application environments
Produce written reports / statements detailing findings, risk levels, and resolution recommendations
Review new and emerging exploits & vulnerabilities, and understand the mitigation choices available
Review both commercial and open tools to enhance products and work cross the divisions on security best practice
Cross train fellow Security Solutions team members including architects, analysts, and engineers
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 3 years experience in IT security fields dealing with TCP/IP, IPSEC, VPN, firewalls, IDS, , Unix security/administration
- At least 3 years experience in penetration test, vulnerability assessment and incident management lifecycle
- At least 3 years experience in demonstrating familiarity with multiple vulnerability assessment tools and scanning tools (AppScan, Retina, Nessus, Cenzic,*)
- At least 3 years experience in tasks/duties that clearly demonstrates Script-writing skills (NASL, VB) is a plus
- At least 3 years experience in tasks/duties that demonstrates familiarity with coding standards and code review (C, C++, .NET, JAVA)
- At least 3 years experience in tasks/duties that demonstrates ability to function under pressure while successfully managing multiple priorities and deliverables
- At least 3 years experience in tasks/duties that demonstrates a Team player capable of contributing ideas across technical and business audiences both inside and outside Net2s
- At least 3 years experience in tasks/duties that demonstrates excellent written and communication skills
- English: Fluent
