Launching in August, Roberts Communications are seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join our Cork based advertising agency. The role would particularly suit someone who has some experience in both creative design and general design. You MUST have a thorough working knowledge of QuarkXpress, inDesign, Photoshop and illustrator coupled with an innovative and modern approach to graphic design.

As part of a young dynamic team the successful candidate will work on a wide range of projects, including websites, advertising campaigns, brochures, branding and a wide variety of other printed material from concept to completion of all print and on line material. Ability to multitask is a must. Previous experience with all media formats is desirable.
You will have to thoroughly enjoy working with clients and other team members in achieving the desired results for design and/or print projects by preparing briefs, managing artwork, preparing Job Dockets (retrieving old files, checking supplied files, obtaining relevant graphic files etc) and managing the timing of work spent to fully execute the completed job. This means correctly ascertaining the correct information to supply an educated estimate of the time required to complete each job.

The winning candidate will have great organisational skills, dream about fully completed job dockets! Crosschecking, proofing, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work to tight deadlines are just some of the elements of the role. Realistically a three month trial at a very basic salary will be offered to the winning candidate to enable the winner to prove themselves to us.
