This vacancy is a maternity leave cover for at least six months. The main aim is to support the HR Manager, Networks in providing high quality HR support for the Networks Business Unit in key HR areas such as: strategic management, manpower planning, voluntary severance/early retirement, performance management, reward and recognition, communications, leadership and staff development, recruitment and retention, and coordinate the specialist HR needs into the Networks Business Unit
Main Accountabilities:
• Ensure HR Corporate policies, procedures and programmes are implemented in the Networks Business Unit
• Involvement in Organisational Change program, providing support to Networks Managers
• Project manage the introduction and implementation of a Competency Framework within Networks
• Implement appropriate performance management mechanisms, linking performance and pay
• Implement HR Corporate communication programmes and ensure communication processes are appropriate to the Networks Business Unit.
• Provide employee training and development support in line with strategic needs of the Networks Business Unit
• With the Networks Business Unit management team, lead the development of culture and skill/competencies to meet the demands of the Networks Business Unit.
• Ensure the development and implementation of the Networks Business Unit manpower plan
• As appropriate, participate in union negotiations and deal with IR issues as they arise.
• Coordinate specialist HR support to the Networks Business Unit as required, e.g. IR, Comp and Benefits, Education and Development, Recruitment, etc.
• Other duties as maybe assigned from time to time.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Relevant third level qualification with at least 5 years experience in a Generalist role.
• Excellent knowledge of up to date Employment Legislation
• Ability to work closely with people at all levels of an organisation
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to work on own iniative and deal with multiple objectives
• Experience with working in a changing environment or on a change management program a definite advantage
