Senior Master Planner
In partnership with my client – a leading healthcare manufacturing company based in Tipperary, we have a permanent position for a Senior Planner.
My client is going through a major expansion as part of a NPI project and is seeking a Senior Planner to work on forecasting and master planning for the Tipperary plant.
This role is very much a Demand Planning/Master Scheduler role and this role and will be required to take the forecast from sales & marketing (S&OP Plan) and create a master plan for the manufacturing site in Tipperary. This plant has 2 main product times and over 12 manufacturing lines.
Responsibilities:
• Develops, maintains and controls the master production schedule in accordance with the corporation's strategic business plan. Engages in special build and inventory analysis, such as obsolescence projections.
• Serves as the main interface between Manufacturing, Marketing, and Supplier Development, as well as the main source of information regarding forecast and schedule changes within the Supplier Development Group. Acts as a major contributor in the operation's planning process.
• Develops, maintains and controls a realistic master production schedule by balancing marketing requirements with manufacturing capacity and parts availability.
• Communicates forecast and production schedule changes to Supplier Development Group.
• Analyzes potential impact of forecast and production schedule changes on component procurement and production volume.
• Collaborates with Marketing, Manufacturing, and Regulatory to appropriately manage inventory levels and minimize obsolescence.
• Perform "What if" analyses to aid in optimal scheduling, priorities and decision making.
• Monitors and analyzes supplier performance indicators in order to proactively identify potential supply problems.
Candidates MUST be Degree qualified with over 5 years planning experience specifically in the areas of demand planning, master scheduling and production planning within a high-volume manufacturing environment (i.e. electronics, medical device, pharmaceutical, food, etc). Must have MRP systems experience (ideally SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc).
Salary on this role is c. €48,000 - €58,000
