Our client based in the UK is one of the leading UK Civil Engineering and Building Contractors. The have established themselves as market leaders in the Civil Engineering, Street Management, Pipelines and Mechanical Engineering, Tunelling, Utilities and Telecommunications Sectors for over 50 years.
Description
• Third Level Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• To be considered for this role you will have at least 8 + years experience.
• You will have specific experience working on the design and build of tunnels
• Working as part of the Tunnels Group, you will take on a senior role, providing technical and team leadership, as well as mentoring Junior and Graduate engineers.
• You will also be expected to be involved in business development, both by bringing in new clients, and by identifying and delivering for current clients.
• Project management & team leadership
• Design of primary and secondary tunnel support systems for various tunnel types in both hard rock and soft ground conditions
• Coordination of multidisciplinary inputs, budgets and programs
• Plan and develop trench-less construction methodologies for water and wastewater tunnels
• Work on site with contractors, and manage any changes in the design process
• Ideally you will also have a solid knowledge of geotechnical requirements and good report writing skills, and any experience in project management or in a leadership role will be highly regarded.
