The individual will ideally have at least ten years post qualification experience in international private client work, and will have focussed on tax and trust work in particular. Experience of offshore structures and other international estate and succession planning will be important. We favour those who are pragmatic and constructive, are able to think laterally and to find solutions.
2.2 The individual will need to have a client following, and the ability to attract new high net worth individuals to the practice. However, there would be quite of bit of work generated by CLIENT’s existing practice and the wider group.
2.3 The individual would form part of CLIENT’s private client team in London, and would be closely involved in the development and progress of such team. At present the London private client team comprises four partners, three associates and one consultant.
OUTLINE OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
The individual would join CLIENT’s private client workgroup which includes the private client teams in Dublin, Isle of Man, Luxembourg, Paris, Monaco and Cape Town, as well as staff in group’s Trust and Corporate Services division, which has offices in the Isle of Man, Geneva,Luxembourg, Monaco, South Africa and the British Virgin Islands. The role would include some travel to these locations.
The individual will also work closely with, receive work from and hopefully refer work to other operating divisions – being Trust and Corporate Services, Asset management and Fund Services.
The core work will comprise advising clients on English and international tax and trust issues including advising on and establishing onshore and offshore trusts, tax planning for high net worth families and advising on contentious trust matters.
The individual will need to be and to keep up-to-date technically and to help train others in the private client team and the firm.
4. REMUNERATION
The remuneration will be market related and commensurate with experience and seniority. The individual will also be eligible to participate in the firm bonus scheme and the share scheme.
