Responsibilities:
• Drafting and negotiating a wide range of capital markets documentation, involving a wide array of complex legal and technical issues, securitisations and structured trades;
• Working closely with dealers and supporting them on transactions focusing on speed and quality of execution;
• Interacting with external counsel domestically and internationally;
• Assisting in the structuring of bespoke customer products in a variety of domestic and international markets;
• Assisting compliance and general corporate governance functions;
• Interacting with regulatory bodies as required;
Requirements:
• Experienced qualified lawyer with relevant PQE in private practice or in-house;
• Familiarity with operation of principal regimes of financial support to the banking industry (State guarantee, asset protection regimes);
• Prior experience in credit, equity, commodity or fund derivatives desirable;
• Prior exposure to US securities laws desirable;
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills;
• Ability to assess and understand complex multi-jurisdictional legal and regulatory issues and devise pragmatic and commercially sound solutions;
• Ability to work well under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
