Our client is one of the leading multinational companies they currently have a requirement for a Packaging Engineer based in the Mid West Region.

Responsibilities

  • Provide design, technical and operational support to packaging function.
  • Support the Product Innovations Team on various Projects in terms of Package System Design / Implementation support.
  • The development of complete package concept and specifications.
  • Application of new technologies, materials and cost reduction projects where appropriate.
  • The role includes the opportunity to lead and participate in cross-functional projects involving process, production and all other aspects of medical device technology.
  • Ensure quality of process and product as defined in appropriate SOP's and Material Specifications.
  • Ensure GMP's and process safety guidelines is adhered to.
  • Training of manufacturing team members.
  • Interface with Product Development, Quality Assurance and Regulatory departments to provide customer with a quality product in a timely manner.
  • Validation, appraisal and support of packaging suppliers – (equipment and material).
  • Communicate and participate in system and process troubleshooting projects with support from team members and with external agents.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional and cross divisional process improvement initiatives


Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Packaging Technology or equivalent.
  • The Individual must have at least 2 years experience within a packaging design or process environment in a regulated environment such as Pharma / Medical Devices.
  • Strong communication skills with both internal and external Customers.
  • Flexibility essential with strong project management skills.
  • The individual should enjoy working in an aggressive, dynamic and results motivated team base.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
