Insurance Data Modeler
Job Description:
This is a contract role with Industry Models group, based in Ireland's Technology Campus. The Industry Models Group consists of over 120 people providing industry-focused and model-oriented solutions to over 300 of our clients tier 1 customers worldwide.
The candidate will work with an extended development team of approx 30 people responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of a series of industry-specific pre-defined Data, Process and UML models. This specific role involves the gathering of requirements from customers, consultants, industry specialists and carrying out the detailed analysis and design and subsequent development activities to implement these requirements in a series of industry-specific data models for use with customers.
The role involves the ongoing development of the Data Warehouse Model and this work will involve incorporating new customer and Industry requirements into the existing set of Data models.
Skills and Experience:
• The candidate must have some experience in gathering/analyzing business requirements.
• The candidate must have some experience of Data Modeling and preferably some expertise of associated tools (e.g. ERwin).
• The candidate should have some exposure to the Health Insurance industry. While it is preferable that such experience would be in the US, any other health insurance experience would be considered.
• The candidate should some experience in database design and must have a good knowledge of Relational Databases.
• The candidate must have experience in being part of a software development team.
• It would be preferable if the candidate has experience in the development of a Data Warehousing environment (preferably as a data modeler) and should have associated awareness of general Data Warehouse architectures (Central Warehouse, OLAP, ETL etc.)
• The candidate must have ability and willingness to take complex business requirements and progress them through analysis, development and final model creation.
• The candidate must have proven ability to perform under pressure, as a team player and have a mature disciplined attitude.
