The main function of the role will be to:
· Manage, direct and overseeing day to day operations in relation to the social care function of the community.
· Support the organisation in developing and formalising a person centred culture and achieve a high quality of personal outcomes and enable service users to achieve their full potential.
· Ensure that the organisation provides the highest standard of care and support which is compliant with legislation, policies and best practice.
Interested candidate will have:
· A recognised qualification in Social Care/Social Work qualification
· A minimum of 5 years experience in a residential service for people with an intellectual disability, or a directly related field, at a supervisory level.
· Experience in facilitating group decision making processes.
· Naturally empathic, person centred and able to see and release potential in individuals.
· Some experiences in the field of autistic spectrum disorders challenging behaviour, mental health needs and knowledge of related strategies for intervention.
