A leading FMCG with a turnover in excess of €800 million and a presence in 4 locations inIrelandhas an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled maintenance technician to join their team for an initial 1 year contract.

You will work as part of a multi-discipline engineering team with primary responsibility to maintain, repair and improve the operation of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems in a semi automated environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and repair of automated equipment and systems
  • Complete preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Review and improve maintenance routines
  • Carry out repairs to equipment when failures occur. Typical equipment will include pick & place machines, printing & labeling equipment, conveying systems etc.
  • Facilities maintenance - AHU, BMS, chillers, sprinklers etc.
  • Carry out regular safety audits of the equipment and systems in all sections of the plant
  • Ensure that the Health and Safety regulations and policies are adhered to at all times and report any infringements of these regulations immediately.
  • Complete installation and commissioning of new equipment. Support Validation team to complete equipment validation
  • Write up engineering procedures for the equipment for which he/she is responsible
  • Execute all work in compliance with the relevant quality systems


To be successful in this role you will be a qualified tradesman - Mechanical/Electrical or relevant maintenance experience. Have experience with a computerised maintenance scheduling system. Have experience with PLC's. 2 years experience in a highly volume automation environment with a working knowledge of Pneumatics, PLC's and Sensors
