Our client, a well-established IT company in Mayo, is seeking to recruit a Statistical or Quantitative Analyst to join its expanding Analytics team.

Job Description:

The role will directly support the Operations and Quality teams through statistical analysis of both Customer and Internal operational data - focusing on Quality measurements, productivity analysis and capacity/supply chain management. Working with our expanding customer base of Internet Search & Crowdsourcing customers the role will focus on analysing historic data to develop predictive analytics.

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Develop statistical models focusing on predictive analytics, using large scale historic data sets.
  • Deliver insights to production teams through statistical analysis of program results and activities.
  • Directly support operation teams in the interpretation and application of statistical results.
  • Manage and ensure integrity of Analytical/Operational data flows, including large customer databases and internal data sets.
  • Ensure complete understanding of database schemas and management of database updates as needed.
  • Support the operational teams through the development of queries and reports for customer databases.
  • Develop & deliver standard operational reports and dashboards to agreed timelines.
  • Collect, organize and analyse operational data/information for global programs.
  • Apply advanced statistical methodologies to the review and analysis of operational data.
  • Support program teams through analysis in delivering increased efficiencies and effectiveness across operational and customer platforms.
  • Undertake appropriate data analysis for ad hoc projects.
Candidates should:

• Hold a relevant primary degree (2.1 or higher) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a similar discipline, and be working toward or hold a recent Masters in a statistical/mathematical related discipline.
• Have at least 2 years + experience in applying statistical analysis and modelling to operational data.
• Strong experience with SQL, MYSQL or similar statistical/mathematical programming skills is very important.
• Demonstrate the ability to think laterally as well as logically.
• Be prepared to defend their assumptions and theories when challenged by some of the brightest Customers in the industry.

KEY SKILLS:
• Excellent statistical knowledge and experience.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent knowledge of several statistical analysis applications – eg: SAS, SPSS or similar.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present statistical results to management teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-directed and ability to use own initiative.
• Ability to work co-operatively with others to establish and maintain good working relationships.
• The highest levels of integrity in the successful completion of your work.
