Our client, a US multinational insurance organisation, is seeking to recruit an experienced Sales Manager to lead a team of 70+ staff (including team leaders and sales/customer service agents.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The key responsibility is to acquire new customers from our preferred target segments by developing a channel strategy to avoid conflicts (such as pricing).
- Delivery of the Company’s sales plan across all channels – call centre and online – in line with Gross Written Premium; profitability; and conversion targets.
- Create and develop a sales plan to a broad-based mass market.
- Drive tactical and strategic sales initiatives through to implementation participating in cross functional meetings and in particular liaising with the Underwriting Team.
- Knowledge of competitive analysis and market trends in relation to customer profiles and customer segmentation to assist the extension and application of innovative ideas to enhance business results.
- Manage both inbound and outbound sales campaigns from inception to completion ensuring delivery of business plan targets in conjunction with the marketing team.
- People Management of a large sales team providing clear direction and leadership with input into training and a focus on development of successors and talent pools to ensure availability of future talent.
- Logically evaluate information in order to make decisions with clear business rationale, take ownership of problems and resolve issues.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in business, marketing and sales or related field of study.
- Minimum of three years experience in a management role encompassing call/contact centre, with online sales industry practice desirable.
- Displays high motivation, a positive and enthusiastic approach and determination to succeed and deliver excellent results.
- Ability to demonstrate expertise in industry concepts, practices and procedures including an ability to demonstrate a visionary perspective.
- Must be able to demonstrate sales record of three years plus at senior management level with a high level of achievement.
- Customer focused with a proven track record of success in driving customer satisfaction/experience results, campaign management (inbound and outbound) and developing teams of high performing sales professionals.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with any level within the organisation, strong ability to work in high-pressure situations and excellent business acumen.
