Our Multinational Client has a requirement for a hands on CFD Design Engineer for their rapidly expanding Company based in limerick

Responsibilities

  • Part of the design department involved with creating new products or revising existing product lines
  • Creation of 3D part models with associated drawings and specifications required for the production process
  • Using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software to analysis and redesign to reduce any inherent stresses within the system
  • Using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software to test thermal build up within our devices and redesign to find ways of eliminating these issues.
  • Creation of 3D assemblies to investigate the overall unit for functionality
  • Responsible for producing and maintaining records associated with the design/test process
  • Ability to design components with respects to ease of automated manufacture
  • Assist in the development of prototypes


Requirements

Engineering Degree/Masters qualification within a relevant engineering discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering, Computer Aided Engineering and Design,

3+ years experience in engineering office environment

  • Qualification in 3D drawing software is a necessity, preferably SolidWorks
  • Strong working knowledge of FEA software and principles is a necessity, preferably Cosmos
  • Strong working knowledge of CFD software and principles is a necessity
  • Proven track record of solving design issues by using results obtained from analytical software packages.
  • Experience in a design/manufacturing environment is desired
  • Excellent mechanical problem solving skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative/as part of a team
  • Ability to demonstrate good project management skills
