Immediate permanent opportunity for a Warehouse Team Leader with a multinational manufacturing company based in Cork.

Purpose:

The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for overall product shipments and monitoring of finished goods inventories. This role will supervise and direct warehouse personnel in all aspects of packaging of finished goods, receipt of items, shipment of orders, and warehouse organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and direct Warehouse personnel in all aspects of warehouse, packaging, shipping, and marketing materials operation. Ensure that personnel are performing their tasks with accuracy, efficiency, and following procedures to the production schedule.
  • Responsible to oversee and maintain accuracy and thoroughness of all documentation; including all required traceability of product throughout packaging/shipping/transfer process, physical inventories, and cycle count process. Ensure all Warehouse personnel follow their respective job SOP's.
  • Monitors expenses related to the Warehouse including but not limited to freight charges.
  • Responsible to maintain warehouse setup and space management.
  • Responsible to maintain product inventory levels and proper storage locations.
  • Ensure that maintenance requisitions are issued for work or replacement as required.
  • Review the packaging schedule with Warehouse Supervisors and Materials department to ensure allocated resources meet the production order fulfillment daily schedule. Maintain goal to keep Warehouse downtime to a minimum.
  • Develop and update work procedures and other documents.
  • Responsible for monitoring all warehouse personnel job performance. Develop and coach Warehouse personnel to appraise, monitor, and address job performance of employees.
  • To maintain high levels of Health and Safety standards
  • Develop and maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy by fostering an atmosphere of teamwork, communication, issue identification and resolution.


Essential Eduation/Skills:
  • 2-3 years supervisory experience in a production environment
  • Previous people management experience essential
  • Results-focused attitude, a desire to grow with the company and pursue a dynamic career
  • The ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, warehouse environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills
  • Independent working attitude, must have own initiative
