Key Skills required
Business Studies or APICS Degree
3-4 years experience as a buyer/planner within medical device or pharma environment.
Experience in purchasing, production scheduling, inventory control, logistics and distribution.
Knowledge of and experience in strategic planning and transportation of products worldwide.
Knowledge of freight companies and customs regulations.
Excellent communication/organisational skills and attention to detail.
Good planning and time management skills.
Analytical, mathematical and problem solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare orders within agreed lead-times to meet customer requirements.
Monitor and report on schedules.
Liaise with warehouse departments.
Responsible and accountable for the ordering, receiving, processing, storing, shipment and delivery, of the goods.
Responsible for local purchases activities as per request.
Track inventories and Issue monthly status reports.
Provide Weekly/Monthly Reports.
