Reporting to the Corporate Treasurer, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day treasury function outside of US (OUS). The successful candidate will be required to develop and maintain best in class treasury systems, processes, procedures and control environment. The successful candidate will also be required to support corporate financial planning projects.
Duties:
- Develop and maintain best in class treasury processes, procedures, systems and control environment
- Implement Cash management capability OUS
- Undertake day to day Back-Office treasury operations in line with approved treasury policies, procedures and controls
- Ensure all deals are correctly accounted for on the Treasury Management system– resolve all discrepancies
- Ensure loan repayments, interest repayments, interest rate swaps and other financial instruments are correctly settled
- Ensure all loan covenants and reporting obligations are complied with including the computation of loan covenants and the issuance of compliance certificates
- Report monthly on all Treasury activities to the Corporate Treasurer, Finance Director.
- Perform month end close for Treasury and reconciliations as required
- Prepare financial instruments section of year end financial statements, manage the external audit process and liaise with Auditors
- Implement IAS 39, carry out hedge effectiveness on an on-going basis and advise of IAS 39 implications for new treasury products as and when they arise
- Support Corporate financial planning projects
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- A recognised accounting/treasury qualification with 7 to 10 years experience operating in a similar environment
- Experience in business banking e-trading platform, Salmon Treasury Management System and Bloomberg an advantage
- Excellent understanding of accounting standards and their application to treasury instruments
- Excellent analytical & Financial Modelling Skills
- Must be systematic and highly organised with an ability to work to tight deadlines and on own initiative
- High degree of professionalism essential at all timesigh degree of professional High
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
Other:
- Occasional travel will be required
- Language skills an advantage
