Overview of the Team/Function
As a Mobile Developer in Customer Response Team (CRT), the successful applicant will be responsible for providing direct partner support of McAfee’s Mobile Consumer Products. Examples of these products are:
· McAfee Mobile Security
· McAfee Family Protection
· McAfee Enterprise Mobility Manager
Partner support of these products will involve the following:
· Software issue triage and analysis
· Software code debugging
· Root cause analysis
· Status reporting for open issues
Our partners (some major OEMs, telecom companies) account for approximately 70% of the overall revenues of our organization. As a result, the CRT Engineer working with Partners to identify issues quickly is critical to our success.
Specific Responsibilities/Functions
Well acquainted with McAfee Consumer products, features and technologies including new and upcoming releases Clearly understand the how our products work and how to debug them end to end Clear and professional communication between Partners and Partner Managers is expected The problem statement, case status and next steps should be explicitly outlined and clear at all times On-site debugging may be required for OEM partners when hardware specific issues arise A CRT Engineer is expected to be able to debug a problem or minimally gather all the required data to debug a problem inside a partner environment.
Able to work independently and with teams in different regions
Required Experience/ Skills & Education:
Proven Software development experience Experience developing mobile application on Android (Java) required Experience with iPhone, Blackberry and Symbian development desired but not require Windows development experience requested Experience in Web development is desired Experience in software debugging and maintenance is required Knowledge of object oriented design principles is required Willingness to learn and work on different Mobile platforms (i.e. Blackberry, Symbian, etc, Understanding of Relation Database Systems Good problem solving and analytical abilities Independent and able to work with multiple teams world-wide Ability to learn and understand at a detailed technical level McAfee consumer products Qualifications/Education:
Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent. We can consider other qualifications, if supported by good experience in the field.
