Our Multinational Client based in the Midwest has a permanent requirement for a Sales Engineer . This individual will be responsible for presentation and sales of a specific product manufactured onsite. The suitable candidate will have a strong background in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering sales within a related industry with a proven track record of building successful sales.


Duties:

Responsibility for sales of new and upgrade applications in each plant currently on the program Responsibility for periodically visiting existing customer base and maintaining contact with principal parties at each plant to nurture relationship and support inside sales strategy Accompanying Manager to prospective accounts and also solely making proposals or negotiating agreements if required Ensuring quotations are issued to customers in an accurate and timely fashion and follow up for order. Quoting and preparing pricing for special projects with customers or engineering contractors To travel to customers within the domestic and EMEA regions as and when requested. Responsible for establishing relationship with purchasing, stores, and maintenance personnel to provide sales and technical service to those disciplines with existing accounts Perform periodic store audits and disk installation audits to gather necessary information on the inventoried product/product in service Provide reports and spreadsheets on data acquired during inventory and installation audits Responsible for all technical support to customers, sales team Assist in helping resolve issues with product specification with customer, engineering / production and customer services Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction with services and communication provided.

Essential Requirements:

· Proven track record in Technical Sales.

A third level degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical). Strong communication and presentation skills A proactive approach taking the initiative to identify sales opportunities and technical support both for personnel and customers. Ability to travel extensively and work under own initiative. Familiarity with drawings / technical specifications / industrial or mechanical applications. Experience of dealing with customers and managing expectations. Self-disciplined and motivated to provide high level of performance in the completion of all tasks. Ability to negotiate contractual terms on behalf of the business unit. Proven problem solving, analytical and design skills
