From Wicklow to Galway, to Carlow and right across the country, we’ve sourced the best job fairs near you!

Autism Initiatives Recruitment Fair

WHEN: Friday, 20th May
WHERE: 28 Main Street, Arklow, Co Wicklow.

WHY YOU SHOULD GO: The joys of the pandemic, including working from home, have worked for some of us. For others, it’s highlighted our need for human interaction in our work, or to get out at the coalface and try new things. If you’re one of the latter, a career in social care may be just the right thing for you. If caring for those on the autism spectrum is of particular interest, then there are a variety of opportunities to be discovered at Autism Initiatives Ireland’s upcoming recruitment day.

Open Day for Women Interested in a Career in Construction

WHEN: Monday 23rd May
WHERE: Regional Skills & Training Centre, Coes Road, Dundalk, Ireland

WHY YOU SHOULD GO: Part of a series of events being held across the country for Construction Work & Skills Week 2022, it’s hoped this Open Day will draw in necessary talent to support the Government’s Housing for All Future Building initiative. Through this new scheme, the Department of Social Protection will be working directly with jobseekers and supporting them through training and skills development providing apprenticeship information and matching them with employers. Apprentices of any and all backgrounds are being sought after, but this particular event will be focusing on the ladies!

Irish Wheelchair Association Community Employment Day

WHEN: Tuesday 24th May
WHERE: Teach Failte, Kilkenny Road, Co. Carlow

WHY YOU SHOULD GO: If rewarding, part-time work is what you’re after, then this event in Carlow is well worth checking out. The Irish Wheelchair Association there are searching for new recruits for their Community Employment Scheme. To be eligible for the initiative, you must have been claiming a Social Welfare payment for a year or more and be available to work for 19.5 hours a week. Once all those boxes are ticked, you should also be prepared for a job that can throw anything at you – everything from pottery to archery is par for the course during the outings you’ll be organising in the role, while an ability to support members with a physical and or sensory disability to take part in programmes is a must.

Boston Scientific Career Event

WHEN: Saturday 28th May
WHERE: Boston Scientific, Ballybrit Business Park, Co. Galway

WHY YOU SHOULD GO: Galway’s Boston Scientific, the largest multinational employer in the West of Ireland, are on the hunt for product builders through this event. On the day, attendees will have a chance to explore the Ballybrit Campus for themselves and discover some of the perks of working there (including a subsidised canteen). Spaces for the event are limited, so pre-registration is advised.

Recruitment Open Day for Mental Health Nurses

WHEN: Saturday 4th June
WHERE: Saint John of God Hospital, Stillorgan Road, Blackrock, Co. Dublin

WHY YOU SHOULD GO: If you are a Mental Health Nurse looking for a new venture, plenty of doors will be opened for you by attending this event at Saint John of God Hospital. On the day, you’ll get a chance to hear about the many openings across diverse clinical settings, meet some of the nursing team, take a tour of the hospital, and hear about the opportunities for career development there. You can also avail of an interview on the day so don’t forget to bring a copy of your CV!
