Payroll Executive
Our client, a well-established and growing organisation, is seeking an experienced Payroll Executive to join their busy payroll function. This opportunity is ideal for a payroll professional looking to further develop their career within a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will have strong payroll processing experience, excellent attention to detail, and a professional, customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of payroll clients across varying pay frequencies.
- Process, reconcile, and deliver payroll reports to clients and relevant third-party providers.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory payroll obligations, including PAYE, PRSI, and USC requirements.
- Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, including pension and general ledger reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll submissions, reconciliations, and payments through Revenue Online Services (ROS).
- Prepare and submit Central Statistics Office (CSO) returns.
- Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related client queries, delivering a high standard of customer service.
- Support team members with payroll reviews, backup processing, and other operational requirements.
- Assist with internal reporting, monthly metrics, and payroll audits.
- Identify and support continuous improvements in payroll processes, controls, and efficiencies.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with data protection, audit, and risk management standards.
- Participate in additional payroll and departmental projects as required.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ payroll processing experience, ideally within a bureau or shared services environment.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and payroll processing practices, including PAYE, PRSI, and USC.
- IPASS qualification or other relevant accounting qualification desirable.
- Experience using payroll software packages; exposure to Megapay and Sage would be advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
