Role: Senior QA Engineer

Type: Permanent

Location: Galway City, Hybrid

Technical Requirements and Experience

·       Proven ability to analyse workflows and identify opportunities to design and implement automated testing solutions.

·       Strong knowledge of ETL testing processes, including validating transformation logic and performing source-to-target reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

·       Proficiency in programming using Java, Python, or another object-oriented language, with the capability to develop custom automation frameworks where required.

·       Experience using Cucumber or other Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) tools to create clear, maintainable, and business-readable test scenarios.

·       Hands-on experience with Oracle and Snowflake databases, including advanced SQL skills for data validation tasks.

·       Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and Xray to support traceability and meet audit requirements.

·       Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, with an understanding of implementing quality gates within deployment processes, is advantageous.

·       Experience with ICEDQ or comparable data testing platforms is beneficial.

·       Knowledge of big data technologies, including Apache Spark and EMR, within distributed data environments is considered a plus.

·       Experience working in Agile development settings.
