About Your New Job

As a Trainee Mechanical Fitter, you will work hands-on in a busy workshop alongside a skilled and supportive team. You will gain real experience overhauling and repairing industrial electro-mechanical equipment, including motors, pumps, fans, and gearboxes.

In your new role, you will:

• Overhaul, repair and assess mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, gearboxes, and fans.

• Assist with maintenance of damaged and worn mechanical parts and help prepare components for reuse or replacement.

• Collaborate with the wider team on larger repair projects and workshop operations.

What Skills You Need

To apply, you will ideally have:

• A qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Mechanics, Fabrication or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a mechanical role or workshop environment.

• Solid mechanical aptitude with exposure to electro-mechanical systems.

• Strong record-keeping and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Flexibility and a strong work ethic.
