About Your New Job

As a Trainee Mechanical Fitter, you will:

• Assist in the overhaul and repair of electromechanical equipment including motors, pumps, fans, and gearboxes.

• Help maintain and repair damaged and worn parts, conduct servicing, and assess component condition.

• Work alongside a skilled team on larger mechanical projects.

• Take on various tasks in a dynamic workshop environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on mechanical experience who’s looking to develop a long-term, skilled trade career.

What Skills You Need

• A qualification (or working toward one) in Mechanical Fitting, Mechanics, Fabrication, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a mechanical or workshop environment.

• A strong mechanical instinct and hands-on aptitude.

• Familiarity with electromechanical systems (motors, pumps, gearboxes, fans) is an advantage.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication skills and a commitment to safety, record-keeping, and problem-solving.
