About Your New Job
As a Trainee Mechanical Fitter, you will:
Assist in the overhaul and repair of electromechanical equipment including motors, pumps, fans, and gearboxes.
Help maintain and repair damaged and worn parts, conduct servicing, and assess component condition.
Work alongside a skilled team on larger mechanical projects.
Take on various tasks in a dynamic workshop environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on mechanical experience who’s looking to develop a long-term, skilled trade career.
What Skills You Need
A qualification (or working toward one) in Mechanical Fitting, Mechanics, Fabrication, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a mechanical or workshop environment.
A strong mechanical instinct and hands-on aptitude.
Familiarity with electromechanical systems (motors, pumps, gearboxes, fans) is an advantage.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a commitment to safety, record-keeping, and problem-solving.
