To operate the day to day business of securing and transacting business in a professional manner, supporting the Management in promoting and achieving conference, events, and food and beverage market segment targets. Assists with trade shows for leisure, corporate and conference. Concentration is on Corporate, Meeting, Incentives & Events segments
Key responsibilities:

" Understanding the hotel product with the ability to quote for all eventualities
" Dealing with clients on telephone, fax, email, face to face and responding to all requests in a professional & timely manner, endeavouring to convert every call into a sale
" Understanding the business - GDS, Travel Agents/ Implants, RFP's, Consortia, Multiples and the corporate market, inclusion in intranets and links to keep the hotel at the forefront of the industry
" Target face to face calls weekly with perspective business opportunities
" Promoting hotel at every opportunity and PR opportunities to achieve this
" To achieve conference Events, Weddings and Food & Beverage Targets for the company
" To compile weekly and monthly sales report and daily log on database of all sales activities
" To target sales territories and ensure existing business is maintained and new business is developed
" To ensure all company profiles are updated and maintained according to the market segments agreed by the director and maintain activity log and database
" To plan and organise sales promotions
" To plan and organise mail shots
" To plan and organise Fam trips, site inspections, corporate golf day etc. as required
" To ensure all administration work is complete, follow up calls, research calls, rate contracts etc. & communicate all negotiated rates to reservations, front office and accounts
" To maximise on all sales and referral leads in a timely manner
" To represent the hotel at consumer fairs, trade exhibitions, seminars etc.
" To ensure credit procedures are followed in line with company policy
" To be fully aware of our competitors and their rates
" To market the hotel both within Ireland and abroad
" To be familiar with the business activities of the hotel on a weekly basis
" To be fully aware of events nationally
" To provide support in other areas of the company as necessary
" To carry out any reasonable request from senior management

Prerequisites for this role:
" Possess minimum of two years previous experience in a similar role in either a in a Hotel/Conferencing/Events Sales
" Have successfully managed a determined number of key accounts, key prospects and can clearly show results from proactive management of the same.

" Must have full exposure in corporate market and MICE markets, and maintain a clear insight into market moves and trends.
" Have previously planned and executed inside/outside sales calls with corporate travel and meeting managers, travel while preparing a daily/weekly schedule and setting priorities.
" You're confident, friendly and professional, with excellent interpersonal skills.
" You enjoy engaging with customers and stake holders and you possess a hunger to win business.
" You've a proven ability to generate new leads and to drive new business.
" You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
" Bachelor's degree with strong business acumen performance
" Strong administrative skills and an ability to meet deadlines and work in fast paced and dynamic environment.
" Ambition to succeed and an ability to work on your own initiative for tasks well done.
" Numeracy and strong analytical skills to enable you to understand the value of the business.
" Must be proficient in writing, speaking and negotiating in English
