Skincare Chemist with a minimum of 1yrs experience in a similar role required for permanent role with multinational company.

PURPOSE OF JOB

  • To develop and deliver Skincare formulation projects within the NPD process
  • To gather, interpret and apply strategic Technical Insights
  • Work with and help develop the Skincare formulation library

1. NPD Formulation Projects

  • Develop formulations of varying complexities in response to briefs issued from the marketing team.
  • Identify the best options for developing formulations to meet the brief ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Identify the least cost design for formulations working within policies and guidelines.
  • Work closely with the claims support and scale up teams to ensure products are suitable for manufacture and deliver the appropriate claims.
  • Manage projects from concept through to approval for manufacture.


2. Technical Insights

  • Monitor competitor activity within a given sector of the skincare market ensuring all trends and technical insights are captured and fed into the innovation process.
  • Participate in the innovation process developing concept formulations.
  • Participate in innovation workshops with marketing to ensure concepts become NPD projects.
  • Help with the development of the skincare Innovation Booths to showcase the latest concepts and new technologies


3. Skincare Formulations Library

  • Utilise Library formulations in line with agreed process
  • Develop formulations for inclusion in the skincare library


EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 1 years experience in a similar role
  • Degree in Chemistry\Cosmetic Science


COMPETENCIES

  • Experience gained through formulating cosmetic products
  • Experience of investigative approach
  • Key competencies: Communication, Planning, Team Working, Customer Focus, Industry Knowledge, Creative Thinking, Problem Solving
