Our client is part of a joint venture, that is managing services to data centre across the world. They are currently seeking a Facilities Electrician for their data centre in Paris. The role will work with a Data Centre manager, on behalf of the client.
Duties:
- Perform planned maintenance on the services to the data centre
- Ensure that the UPS is running correctly, and that the redundancies are in place and tested regularly
- Ensure the the Cooling systems and AHU's are frequently maintained and that their back ups are in place
- Ensure the Air conditiong/HVAC system is in place to control the atmosphere in the data centre
- Monitor the systems from the BMS, and action any reactive maintenance issues
- Record and document all planned and unplanned maintenance
- Assist in compiling performance reports for the client
- Where the opportunity arises, maintain and develop the client relationship
Requirements:
- Experience as a Facilities Electrician, with a relevant trade qualfication
- Experience in working in a data centre environment or similar environment
- Knowledge of the various services and systems involved in maintain a data centre
- Experience in using a BMS and using a planned maintenance computer package
- Solid business understanding of the importance of data centre operations [0% down-time]
- Ability to Liaise with the client
- Fluency or near-fluency in French; ability to communicate on a technical level in French
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
