OUR CLIENT BASED IN BUDAPEST, HUNGARY IS SEEKING TO RECRUIT A SOFTWARE QA ENGINEER (C#)

Position
The role involves system test development for a number of our DataMan ID readers. These are embedded barcode readers with integrated optics, lighting, discrete I/O and networking. The systems communicate via Ethernet, RS-232, FTP, and various industrial protocols. The existing system tests are implemented in C# and deployed using Cygwin shell scripts. Results are made available through a database and Web interface. Tasks performed in this job include:


· Writing black box tests in C# to exercise all aspects of the embedded systems.
· Writing tests in C# to exercise Windows applications.
· Assisting with manual testing where not yet covered by automatic testing.
· Maintain, analyze and communicate results of test robots
· Perform other related duties as required.

This position may require occasional travel to Germany or the USA.

Required Profile


Required qualifications and experience:
Engineering degree in computer science or electrical engineering or equivalent.
1-to-5 years of experience in the following areas:
· Experience developing C# software.
· Experience writing software for automated black-box testing
· Experience with professional team software programming projects (development processes, source code control, formal bug tracking, etc.)

Additional experience that would be helpful:
· Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
· Experience in Unix shell scripts
· Experience with XML, XSLT, and PHP
· Experience in hardware design of test fixtures
· Experience working with regulatory test houses

Languages:
Professional use of English is mandatory (both spoken and written). Ability to speak German is helpful.

Self-motivated, goal oriented, and able to work independently,Good presentation, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
