Our client, a Clinical Research Organization specializing in the provision of support to the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Animal Health Companies, currently has a vacancy for a Microbiologist. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
o Carry out Microbiological testing as assigned (LAL, Cytoxicity, Bioburden, Water Analysis, Sterility, Microbial limits, Preservative Efficacy and Spore Populationf or BI tests).
o Compile reports for the tests and review test results.
o Carry out quality control checks as assigned (Media Growth Promotion, Environmental Monitoring, Identification of bacterial isoloates, disinfectant testing).
o Address all deviations raised and carry out Laboratory Investigations as required.
o Implement, review and update SOP's as required.
o Liaise with clients.
o Act as mentor for staff.
Applications are invited from candidates who meet the following criteria:
o Minimum of BSc. Microbiology.
o 2-3 years industry experience.
o GMP regulatory experience.
o IT skills - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
o Ability to interact with peers effectively.
o Strong Customer Focus.
o Excellent administration, documentation and analytical skills.
o Attention to detail.
o Ability to work to tight deadlines.
o Be able to work occasional overtime.
