Becoming a member of the Big Fish Cloud Gaming team offers a truly exceptional opportunity to be a part of a small team working on our industry-leading Cloud gaming platform. Our Cloud Gaming platform enables the Big Fish casual game catalog to be run in the cloud and accessed on a variety of devices and platforms including, but not limited to iOS, Android, PC, Mac and Connected TVs all via interactive video streaming.
Our innovative platform comprises a large breadth of areas including device integration frameworks, video and audio encoding pipelines, adaptive multimedia streaming as well as integration with content distribution networks. There are tremendous opportunities to make a substantial impact via research and data mining on new algorithms to improve quality of service on these various platforms, as well as contributing your outside of the box thinking to provide the best casual gaming experience over the internet in the world.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and passionate senior level software engineer. If you have the skills to build large-scale, high-performance, customer-friendly products and are interested in working on cutting-edge consumer electronics integration with large scale digital video delivery, then this is the job for you.
Skills, experience and educational requirements:
6+ years as a software engineer with top-notch programming skills Successful candidates for this position will have a strong background in either Java/C++ Expert working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object oriented design Expert working knowledge of design patterns Proven large scale system design skills Strong working knowledge of operating system fundamentals Experience with high throughput, multi-threaded or event driven asynchronous systems Experience implementing and consuming large scale web services Relentless customer focus Excellent analytical skills Excellent culture fit and ability to collaborate with the team
