We are a dynamic hi-tech company with a small R&D Group in Shannon, Co Clare. We are now hiring a Senior Software Engineer. This is a permanent role, based full time on site in Shannon, in County Clare.
This is a challenging role for an experienced Software Engineer with an exceptional talent for system architecture, technical leadership and hands-on embedded software engineering. The successful candidate will join our team of engineers developing software for high-volume consumer electronics.
Key responsibilities
• Hands-on development and technical leadership of a wide variety of embedded software including applications, drivers, protocols and baseband algorithms
• Working closely with Project Managers and participating fully in the product development life cycle to ensure projects are delivered on-time and to requirements
• Working with members of the Software Management team to improve and promote the software development processes
• Serving as a role model though active use of company methods and standards, excellent team working, excellent communication, and supporting other team members
Required Skills:
• At least 5 years software development experience in the semiconductor, consumer electronics or related industries;
• Excellent understanding of embedded systems architecture and design;
• Expert in embedded C programming and system debugging;
• Excellent written and oral communications skills;
• Excellent team working and co-operation with others;
• Self-motivated and highly productive with a can-do attitude, able to work efficiently as part of a distributed development team;
• Knowledge of Python and/or M4 a benefit
