Established in 1986, our client is a leading supplier of crushing, screening and recycling equipment solutions. They are now looking to recruit a motivated Manufacturing Technical Assistant to join their team.
If you have technical experience gained within a manufacturing environment this is an excellent opportunity to join a company offering training and superb career progression prospects.
As a Manufacturing Technical Assistant, you’ll be responsible for recording all engineering change requests submitted. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining the status of the engineering changes, assessing and distributing the details related to all engineering changes, implementing all engineering changes into the manufacturing systems and forwarding on all relevant information to our sub-contractors.
In addition to above, you will maintain the manufacturing bills of materials on an MRP system; creating new parts details and BoMs where required.
Working with the Purchasing, Engineering and Manufacturing departments, your other duties will include:
- Creating production reports
- Issuing work to do lists
- Relaying new engineer drawings onto suppliers and the shop floor, ensuring they are adhered to
- Conducting data cleansing processes, ensuring all information is accurate
- Actively participating in orientation and training programs
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
- Experience in a technical role gained within a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to read and interpret maintenance instructions, safety rules and technical drawings
As a Manufacturing Technical Assistant, you’ll be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with strong numeracy skills. Equally important is your ability to work to deadlines whilst paying attention to detail and producing work to the highest standard.
Whilst not essential, a technical or engineering qualification would be beneficial to your application. Experience within a 6 Sigma or Lean environment would also be an advantage, as would a working knowledge of an MRP system.
