Senior Build & SCM Engineer FRS Recruitment are currently hiring a Senior Build & SCM Engineer for our client based in Athlone. As part of the Build Team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Provision of state-of-art build system to support the evolving needs of the design organisation
  • Implementation and rollout of new build and SCM tooling
  • Working with and Influencing colleagues cross-site
  • Automation
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to team members
Qualifications & experience:

  • You should possess a relevant educational qualification with four to five years of recent experience in software engineering life cycle.
  • Expertise in SCM tools, in particular, Clearcase & GIT
  • Excellent knowledge of Maven is essential
  • Knowledge of platforms, e.g. Solaris (x86), Linux (SUSE, ubuntu and other distributions)
  • Strong scripting competence
  • Experience with Continuous Integration tooling would be an advantage
  • Ability to function and contribute to a team environment
  • Experience of working in agile teams using Scrum or other agile methodology would be an advantage
