Senior Quality Engineer - Galway.
Our client seeks to recruit a Senior Quality Engineer on a 6 month temporary vacancy which may go longer.
As Senior Quality Engineer you will act as the engineer for a technology or product line on site with responsibility for ensuring all quality standards and specifications are defined and achieved in line with Corporate and Regulatory requirements.
You will compile and analyse operational test and experimental data to establish performance standards for newly implemented or modified products and processes and ongoing auditing of existing processes.
Responsibilities:
• Identifies and resolves complex exceptions to work assignments.
• Summarizes, analyses, draws conclusions and makes appropriate decisions from test results or other process related findings.
• Has the responsibility and independent authority to make decisions related to product quality, including the disposition of non-conforming product.
• Participates in Customer Complaints investigation for areas under their control
• Continually seeks to drive improvements in product and process quality.
• Knowledgeable on QSR and ISO/MDD standards, constantly promoting awareness of best industry practices, making appropriate decision on a daily basis.
• Fully conversant with validation techniques and associated regulatory requirements including analysis of customer feedback and complaints.
• Knowledgeable on Risk Management , BSEN 14971 requirements
• Compiles and analyses operational, test and validation data to establish technical specifications and performance standards for newly designed or modified products and processes
• Uses knowledge of Six Sigma, Statistical Analysis and Lean principles to investigate and solve problems and improve quality.
Skills & Qualifications sought:
• Degree in Quality / Materials / Science.
• At least five years' work experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control environment is essential.
• People management experience
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Statistical Analysis and Lean principles
• Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work on ones own initiative and with minimum supervision is required.
• Good interpersonal skills and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
