Our client, a leading FDA regulated manufacturing company, currently have a vacancy for a Manufacturing Technician for their production facility which is based in the South East.
Remuneration: Negotiable. A very attractive basic salary will be made available for the right candidate

Instrument test - Carries out all aspects of the instrument test process, to include
- Testing each instrument to meet the required specifications
- Complete final sign-off of logbooks once test is complete
- Final health check
- Responsible for all fault finding, repairs, rework and subsequent materials transactions during test
Assembly of instruments - Assemble all current instruments when required
- Support Assembly operators on technical issues when required
- Fully trained on line opening/line closing work instruction
- Instrument Packaging
Chemical Preparation - Responsible for the preparation of all test samples used during the process
- Identify and report any process improvements, from both chemical control and safety perspectives.
Documentation / Procedures - Responsible for maintaining documents, to reflect the current test process and requirements.
- Ensure that all test data and results are recorded in a timely and efficient manner, and the correct revision of procedure/work instruction is being used
Engineering Change requests / deviations - To ensure all relevant work on individual instruments has been completed once a deviation/change note has been instructed.
- Continually strive to improve the test process, to identify opportunities as they arise and work towards a possible solution.
- Liaise with Manchester/Milford on various improvement projects as instructed by supervisor/manager
Continuous improvement
Project Work - To complete any project work as instructed by supervisor to the highest standard and in a timely manner.
- Liaise with Manchester/Milford on various projects as instructed.
Ensure compliance of Quality standards and regulations - Ensure that all instruments are tested to the required specifications
- Ensures compliance with ISO9001:2000, ISO13485:2003 and applicable good manufacturing practice regulations within the company.
The Person:
Qualifications / education required:
- Minimum diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing or equivalent qualification
Experience required
- Relevant industry experience – ideally in the electronics industries.
- Previous experience of working in an ISO9001: 2000, ISO13485: 2003 environment would be advantageous
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Computer literate.
Specialised training required:
- GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), Chemical Preparation, Chemical Handling, Instrument System testing.
Skills required:
Good interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team. Good report writing skills.
