Java Developers x 3, County Cork.
We are a young dynamic Irish software company located in scenic County Cork and with offices and staff located in Cork, and in the Far East and the USA. We develop innovative software products including very high profile iPhone applications for the global market, and we are now expanding, and we are now recruiting a number of Java Developers to join our team in County Cork. These are permanent full time role based onsite in County Cork. At present we are hiring three Java developers (one each at senior, intermediate and junior level).
Role :
· Software development that is focused on delivering customer products, across the world….taking products from conception to market quality.
· Architecture and design of Java Android based applications and tiered systems.
· Development mentorship over teams for the implementation of Agile/SCRUM development processes and pursuit of continuous integration, continuous testing environments.
· Design and review of software systems and components (UML).
· Design and implementation of web‐based user interfaces.
· Support testing and operations by QA and other groups.
· Liaise with other development teams, product management, customer support and sales.
Required Skills/experience:
The ideal candidates will be an EC citizen already living in Ireland with native level fluency in spoken English, and with a relevant degree (e.g. BSc Computer Science etc). You should be happy to live and work in Co Cork on a long term basis, and you should be passionate about writing and designing the best written code you can. You have great interpersonal and communication skills and you are ambitious to develop your career with a fast growing company.
You have solid Java software design and development experience (at least four years Java / JEE development experience for the senior level role, at least 2 yrs months for the intermediate level roles and at least 12 mths for the junior role).
Experience in concurrent programming / multi threading would be desirable. You should have good systems analysis skills, with the ability to take requirements and apply structured techniques to determine solution architectures and functional /technical specs.
Experience of working within an agile development framework desirable.
