THE ROLE:
oEngineering responsibility for manufacturing line products, processes, equipment and documentation to meet Quality, service and cost objectives for AOP targets.
oSupervise and co-ordinate technical support for product(s), in line with Marketing plans.
oResponsible for the installation, calibration and preventative maintenance of On Line process equipment.
oTechnical lead on Lean Sigma initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
oTo undertake and lead specific projects as designated in support of the business unit objectives.
oProvide strong technical solutions and innovation to existing processes.
oEngineering lead on process improvement / validation activities and ability to identify process improvement/cost saving opportunities.
oProvide technical support to junior engineering staff and assume responsibility for employees training and development.
oLiaise with other plants regarding technical issues.
REQUIREMENTS:
oBachelor Degree (BSc/B.Eng in Mechanical, Manufacturing or related engineering) is required.
oProcess/product development experience, ideally in medical device industry
oExperience and proven track record with process design and strong technical innovation capability.
oBroad knowledge of materials and processes applicable to medical device industry. soldering experience desirable but not essential.
oKnowledge and experience of process optimization, qualification and validation techniques.
oExperience of medical device industry regulations is desirable.
oExperience in manufacturing engineering role is desirable.
oAble to manage self and others to achieve challenging targets.
oGood team skills - a high level of enthusiasm and motivation, and the ability to take input from others.
oExcellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
