Job Title: Associate Director Supply Chain

Job Live as of 15th February 2012

Associate Director Supply Chain is based in Dublin and will direct the planning of productions located at multiple Contract Manufacturing locations in Europe, and will coordinate all new product launches within the EMEA region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The individual is responsible for planning sufficient and timely production of the company's products at the various CMOs to ensure that market demand can be met.

The individual will receive assignments in the form of goals and tasks relating to this key responsibility, but is also expected to self-generate goals and responsibilities, vetting and communicating effectively with management.

The individual will be responsible for, but is not limited to:
- Consolidating and verifying market forecasts received from Commercial Ops.
- Translating market forecasts into timed production requirements at the CMO's
- Negotiating production slots at CMO's

Experience Required:
- Extensive experience working in Supply Chain processes, including multi-level planning.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration or a related discipline.
- Some understanding of and exposure to manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals (biologics, small molecules, orphan drugs)
- Thorough understanding of cold chain distribution.
- Hands-on experience of product launches and launch process.
- Familiarity with quality systems and proven knowledge of cGMP and cGDP.
- Interpersonal skills and professional skills to interact with external personnel while representing Shire
- Must communicate effectively.
- Prioritize and multitask in an environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
- A people manager, capable of motivating and guiding staff.
