R&D Project Team Member with 8yrs experience in an Engineering / Project Management role required for permanent role in Galway.

Responsibilities:

• Managing R&D Project team members and organisation
• R&D elements of Project scope, timing, risk & quality
• Management of R&D Sub Suppliers
• Project investments and development costs
• Estimation of R&D resource needs and development workload
• Resolution of conflicts of interests
• Customer facing regarding R&D topics

• Work with project management to prepare and organise project planning for cross functional input and scheduling.
• Manage cross functional R&D input to deliver against agreed project milestones.
• Manage customer expectations regarding the product
• Daily project team interfacing and communication
• Identifying cross-project issues and working with R&D technical leads and management to identify and implement solutions
• Manage commercial and technical relations with external resources participating in project activity
• Support Product Marketing and Business Development activities as required
• Ensuring the monthly balancing of assigned R&D resources against needs
• Lead and participate at R&D design reviews, providing risk status and issues

Requirements for this role are:

• An Engineering Degree in a relevant area e.g. Mechanical/Electronics engineering
Minimum 8 years experience in an Engineering / Project Management role
• Experience in the automotive industry will be an advantage
• Proven ability to deliver technical projects on time and within budget
• Good team player with proven leadership ability
• Excellent people management skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Confident, articulate, self motivated, determined, energetic
