At Pharma-BioServ, we are recruiting a Control Software Developer to work as a consultant for our client a multinational manufacturing facility in Galway. This is an initial 12 month contract role.
Role
- Develop PLC software for new and existing equipment.
- Visual Basic (VB.net) programming for Machine Control including integrating VB with Motion Control, Digital and Analogue I/O, PLC’s, and Vision Applications.
- Design, development and administration of SQL databases to support manufacturing systems.
- Develop 21 CFR part 11 compliant applications.
- Design control systems, instrumentation, control panel layouts, and Safety circuits.
- Create software design specifications and associated documentation for equipment and systems.
- Develop Equipment Design and Validation documentation to comply with GaMP based Software development Lifecycle.
- Provide software support to the Equipment Design, Maintenance, and Manufacturing groups.
Support Validation Engineers to write and execute test protocols
Experience
- Bachelors in Engineering (electronic/software/industrial) preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years in software/control system design for equipment role
- Knowledge and experience with at least two of the following:
- PLC programming, Visual Basic, VB.Net, SQL Database, Machine Control with PLC/PC, Database and SCADA systems, Vision systems
- Individual must be an effective leader with drive and enthusiasm.
- Project Management experience
- Have proven facilitation skills and communication skills
