Our client is one of the leading manufacturing companies they currently have a requirement for a Mechancial Engineering Manager position based in Galway.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for identifying and resolving resource issues across their project scope.
- Responsible for feature by phase documentation, tracking and communication within the project teams.
- Responsible for supporting design standardisation across projects – including part count reduction, reuse, geometrical rules, procedures and best practice as documented and directed by the technical manager.
- Responsible for tracking and escalating issues related to cost targets and management.
- Responsibility for daily tracking and management of timelines as set and agreed by the lead engineers and the project team.
- Responsible for support in preparing, organising and participating in design reviews across projects and appropriate management of project issues resulting from meetings including escalation of issues as necessary.
- Responsible for supporting RFQ responses as requested.
- Responsible for ensuring quality of CAD and drawings is maintained and in line with the direction of the Technical Manager.
Requirements
- 5 years recent relevant industrial experience.
- Experience in the automotive industry an advantage.
- Experience within a multi-disciplinary projects environment dealing with small mechatronic assemblies.
- Experience managing a professional team.
