Our client requires a Collections Officer to join their expanding team in Dublin.
Brief overview - collection of all outstanding payments in a compliant, firm and efficient manner.
Job activities
- Plan and prioritize allocated workloads to ensure that all transactions are processed within service standards
- Effectively handle all verbal & written (post and email) enquiries in respect of designated loan book / customer accounts
- Work closely with other team members and other departments to ensure proper transaction management
- Undertake effective file management and accurate management of customer records - maintaining and updating customer records mainly from inbound and outbound telephone calls to ensure that customer's present circumstances are accurately captured
- Agree repayment plans within mandate and make sound recommendations to client if outside mandate
Experience and skills
Collections background (mortgage arrears)
Experience of working within a fast paced, results driven and targeted environment with a desire to exceed expectations - taking ownership and accountability when making decisions
Positive attitude and resilient when faced with challenging situations
Experience of communicating verbally and influencing customers
Microsoft office applications
Knowledge of the financial services industry and compliance requirements
Highly driven and motivated who enjoys taking ownership and accountability when making business and customer orientated decisions
Enthusiastic and focused individual who can resolve financial difficulties and queries
Requirements
Leaving Cert Level or equivalent
Relevant business related qualification - Professional Diploma in Financial Advice (Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA)) or professional certificate in mortgage practice.
